Sydney Wheelchair Walks

I loved   surfing ,spearfishing , camping, motorhomes and all outdoor sports. In 1991 a life threatening infection triggered a metabolic bone disase that weakend my body. I was still able to enjoy life ,l have a wonderful family including a supportive wife and 2 great children, plus two sisters and my parents who are always there to help me. In 2008 my chronic health condition deteriorated and it was impossible for me to walk anymore than about 10 metres. This brought about many negative changes. In 2010 i bought an electric wheelchair and began to enjoy some independance. In 2013 i ventured from my home in Concord , to Cabarita ferry wharf , approx 30 minutes travel in the wheelchair. Here i discovered Sydneys rivercats and ferries , and began  exploring Sydneys great foreshore paths and walking tracks , offering spectacular views and recapturing the spirit of outdoor adventures that my loss of mobility had taken away from me . This website documents my favourite walking tracks. If you are disabled , or care for someone who is disabled , it is important to get out of the home environment and experience our spectacular River & Harbour foreshore trails . All Sydney ferries are wheelchair accessable as well as most buses. For $2.50 you can cruise all day on the best harbour and city  in the world.
